Surrounding by friends and family, Katie and Oliver got married last week in their backyard with the most darling ceremony. The entire day just perfectly reflected their personalities – laid back, fun and filled with so much joy. We loved how personalized their wedding felt down to the tiniest details. For starters it was in their backyard, but it also had so many sweet details from old church pews filling their lawn, to mix matched china, to Oliver’s vintage Ford truck as their getaway car. Get inspired, y’all – these two had so many amazing ideas for their wedding! Oliver even surprised Katie with a hawk (yes you read that right) that delivered the rings during the ceremony, and that’s when Tyler and I knew for certain, we have the coolest couples! After a short reception in the backyard and quick break, the fun continued with an 80’s prom-themed reception at the Kessler Theater, and these two proved they can rock the bohemian look, just as much as the 80’s. Complete with a light up dance floor, confetti canons, and disco ball, the dance party was absolutely epic! Cheers to the new Mr. & Mrs. Sitrin!
Katie’s gift to her bridesmaids was so neat — the bracelet had the coordinates of where they first met!
This cutie, Lila, stole my heart from the moment I met her. She even asked if she could take the bridesmaids pictures for me.
She came up and sat in my lap during the toasts, and my heart melted all over again!
Katie and Oliver have the cutest little house in West Dallas!
Oliver’s ring was actually hand made from a nut by one of his friends! How great is that?!
Oliver is the head chef at a local spot in Dallas called The Blind Butcher, so they clearly had catering covered. His friend, who’s a pastry chef, made this beautiful, fruit-covered, naked cake.
I absolutely loved Katie’s entire look– especially that floral crown!
Being the head chef at a place called The Blind Butcher, it only seemed fitting that he gave the groomsmen handmade knives!
Oliver had a hawk deliver the rings during the ceremony and it was just as epic as it sounds!
Yeah, no big deal, right? I’ll just get married here with a HAWK in my hand!
We totally swooned over Oliver’s antique Ford truck and loved using it in their portraits!
Gah, I just cannot get over that floral crown!
After a short break, everyone changed, and it was time for an 80’s prom themed dance party!
